muddiest point week 9

My muddiest point for week 9:

How is XML going to tangibly affect library services for the future? From what I understand, XML makes it much easier to annotate information than HTML does. Will this affect libraries at all?

Hello Rachel.
I think that XML will enhance cross-referencing capabilities in libraries, making searches more refined. I say this because of XMLs versatility, as it can be used in a variety of hardware and software 'environments.' Its interoperability will most likely ensure its sustainability. My prediction is that it will outlast HTML.
